Annasabrina, 2022

This is Annasabrina, a long-time friend of mine. The day we took her picture was a bright sunny winter day and what I loved was how Anna’s eyes and lashes lit up in the sun. We tried several shots, indoors and outdoors, but the one I ultimately decided on was her looking at me, the setting sun to the right. Her hair was partially covering one side of her face putting it in shadow but leaving a sliver of light beneath the hair. I selected a blue background for her because I thought it would offset her red undertones in her skin.
