Kals am Grosglockner, 2020

This painting is from Kals am Grosglockner, Austria. I painted this picture because I loved the simplicity of the scene - typical alpine scenery showing high mountains, in this case covered by dark brooding clouds over the verdant green slopes and perched barn. My intention was to capture that distinctive and intense moody sky through atmospheric perspective common in many of my paintings.
