Sailing, 2022

I love what this painting represents. For me it’s two things; dreams and freedom. Although blue is the colour often associated with freedom, it’s the billowing spinnaker sail with the diagonal white lines that I hope imparts a strong sense of movement, and with it, liberation. I also hope the upward perspective conjures the impression of deaming; I know that when I am daydreaming and thinking of what’s next, I often look up.
