Westport Ireland, 2022

The intention of this painting was about the colours. I wanted to use complimentary colours, so for the sky I selected purple and yellow whist in the foreground, green and red. These parts of the painting also have the most abstract quality whereas the middle of the painting is in more in focus. I hoped to use the contrasting elements to create a sense of both movement & stillness.
